Abstract：Based on the traditional weight-TOPSIS method， weight-grey correlation-TOPSIS method and linear weighting method， a modified evaluation method based on cosine similarity is proposed. This method is applied to the measurement of development level and Spatio-temporal variation of new-style urbanization in the six provinces of Central China from 2006 to 2015. The results are as follows. 1) The method is practicable. The result is true and objective. 2) During the study period， the development trend of new-style urbanization in the six provinces of Central China is different. 3) The spatial difference of development level of new-style urbanization in the six provinces of Central China is significant. The polarize in the development of new-style urbanization is very serious. 4) The spatial distribution pattern of development level of new-style urbanization in the six provinces of Central China is relatively stable and disorder.
