Abstract:The organization for linear disciplinary knowledges and mind maps take the forms of a directory-like or network-like plane structure, which make the structure information and details presented simultaneously. On one hand, it increased the burden on cognition to a certain extent. On the other hand, this method is unable to express the knowledge and its relationship clearly, and doesn't have the ability to describe the topological correlation between knowledges. Aiming at these problems, a geo-space spatialization method is proposed for disciplinary knowledge based on the cognitive process. Firstly, the similarity for exploring the disciplinary knowledge and geo-spatial cognitive process is analyzed, and then a geospatial method is established. After that, the traditional linear knowledge organization and linear space have been transferred into a two-dimensional spatial knowledge structure and also the hierarchical topology structure for knowledge item has been established. This work is trying to apply a new geo-space spatialized method to visualize and understand the traditional disciplinary knowledges in a vivid and intuitive manner, which is able to build a basement for knowledge navigation and smart education and also extent the service for knowledge maps.
