Research on the characteristics of vegetation landscape and its change in Shennongjia Area from the perspective of LUCC

Abstract：To study and analyze different LUCC landscape's characteristics and dynamic changes in the spatial and temporal scales is of great scientific value and practical significance. This paper adopts the methods of landscape ecology and geostatistics to analyze the ecological index of LUCC vegetation landscape in Shennongjia Area in 1990， 2000， 2005， and 2010. The statistical characteristics， diversity characteristics， heterogeneity characteristics and complexity features of LUCC vegetation landscape in Shennongjia Area were discussed. Under the guidance of LUCC theory， the basic characteristics of vegetation landscape in Shennongjia Area were analyzed and studied， and the changing process and laws of vegetation landscape characteristics in Shennongjia Area were discussed. The result shows that the overall stability of the LUCC vegetation landscape in the Shennongjia Area is very strong. The forestland vegetation landscapes and grassland vegetation landscapes are in a stable and good state； arableland vegetation landscapes are in a state of shrinking compactness， which is the result of returning farmland to forests. Changes in wetland vegetation landscapes indicate that the wetland protection in Shennongjia Area needs to be strengthened.
