Abstract:Both rubber powder sizing in 200 mesh and 99.99% copper powder sizing in 500 mesh were mixed in a planetary ball-miller for 20 min. Then the mixture was compacted in a die sizing in Φ100 mm×5 mm at a compressive stress of 20 MPa at 150℃. The compressed sample was taken out after the hot compression. Then it was washed in a 5 wt% nitric acid solution for 30 min, followed by a washing in pure water and drying at 50℃. Thus, porous rubber was obtained. Pores sizing in 20 microns and 100 microns is able to be observed in the porous rubber. Acoustic absorption test shows that a high acoustic absorption coefficient is able to be achieved for both low and high frequency acoustic wave.
