Abstract:In recent years, Journal of Central China Normal University (Natural Sciences) has closely aligned with national strategies and regional needs, leveraging the university’s disciplinary strengths and local characteristics. The journal has focused on column planning and innovation, creating multiple thematic columns and publishing seven specialized issues. These efforts have effectively enhanced the journal’s academic influence, contributing to discipline and university development. Those featured issues and columns focus on key issues related to national construction and social reform, providing essential academic references for government and party decision-making and offering theoretical support and practical guidance for solving real-world problems. These contributions have promoted policy development and implementation in relevant fields, facilitating the sustainable development of society and the economy. From the perspective of featured issues and columns construction, key elements for content development include setting clear goals and positioning for column development, staying aligned with current trends and needs, integrating resources and advantages, emphasizing quality and innovation, and enhancing publicity and promotion to improve dissemination efficiency. In future featured issues and columns development, it is important to deepen and broaden the selection of topics, focus on interdisciplinary and integrated approaches, strengthen domestic and international exchanges and cooperation, enhance the journal’s service awareness, and pay attention to feedback from authors and readers. These efforts will continuously improve the quality and influence of the journal, contributing even more to the construction of a strong scientific and technological nation and the socio-economic development.
