Abstract:Based on the field investigations of 8 cities 16 counties in Hubei Province, the research investigated the problems of teacher education in enrollment, cultivation process and effect. Teacher education has made great achievements, but still has some problems in the aspects as the recruitment, curriculum setting, internship effect, teaching staff, cultivation effect, etc. The decline of teachers’ socio-economic status, over-integration of normal colleges and lack of self-innovation ability are the main reasons. It believes that, the basic direction of teacher education reform is to revitalize normal education, highlighting the subjectivity status of normal colleges. From the reform and development trend of education in China,the only way to revitalize normal education is to strengthen the professional attraction of teachers, improve the enrollment and talents selection mechanism, deepen the curriculum reform of normal education and attach great importance to cultivate students practice ability.
