Abstract:Rechargeable aqueous battery has attracted so much attention as electrochemical energy storage device for its advantages of low-coat, material abundance and satisfactory safety, etc. Here, we constructed a device of NiCo/Fe aqueous battery, in which the NiCo2O4 nanorods were used as positive electrode and Fe3O4 nanorods as negative one. This device showed a very fascinating performance due to its unique designed nanostructure. The capacity reached 207 Wh/kg at a power density of 1.2 kW/kg and it still retained 70.8 Wh/kg even at a high power density of 24 kW/kg. Additionally, the device also possessed a long cycle life because of the array nanostructure and the capacity retention was close to 80% even after 2 000 cycles at a current density of 5 A/g.
