Research on the types and Their influencing factors of ecotourism tourists' experience

Abstract：Under the context of the vigorous development of ecotourism in the world， the ecotourism demonstration areas (EDAs) came into being in China. It is worth studying what kind of experience these EDAs have given their tourists and whether they have played the core function of education and learning. To do so and based on the theory of experience economy， this paper analyzed the types and their influencing factors of ecotourism from both theoretical and practical aspects by using tourists' online travel notes of eleven EDAs as data source. The results show that： 1) In theory， ecotourism tourists can get aesthetic， entertainment， learning， recovery， empathy experience； 2)In fact， the experience of the EDAs tourists is mainly in aesthetic and entertainment， while less in recovery and empathy， and least in learning；3)Among the subjective factors， travel partner type has significant impact on the types of tourists' experience， with the probability of entertainment experience of those tourists travelling with families significantly higher than those travelling with friends； 4) Among the object factors， the type of EDAs significantly influences tourists' acquisition of five kinds of experience， with the tourists of forest and mountain EDAs getting more experience types； the distribution area of EDAs significantly affects the tourists' acquisition of aesthetic， recovery and empathy experience， with the tourists in Eastern and Western EDAs getting more experience types； which shows that ecotourism experience is reflecting the interaction between human and environment， and the result of the interaction between tourists and ecotourism experience field. Finally， some suggestions and directions were put forward against the problem of relatively insufficient educational function the EDAs have played.
