Abstract：According to the principle of new structural economics，the endogenous force of resource endowment and innovation are the important driving forces that prompt industrial transformation and upgrading.In this paper the GDP and its related indicators in Eastern Hubei in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River from 2016 to 2020 are investigated in a longitudinal view.And across-sectional view of the factor endowment structure in eastern Hubei is taken. Then it is concluded that in order to achieve high-quality development in the Yangtze River protection strategy， cities in Eastern Hubei should adhere to the priority of green innovation-driven development， promote the industrial integration development of Eastern Hubei urban agglomeration with effective market， and guide the economic integration development of Eastern Hubei urban agglomeration.
