Abstract:In order to study the spatial effects between science and technology innovation, environmental regulation and economic development quality in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, based on the statistical data, the spatial Durbin model was constructed for spatial effect analysis. The results show that the quality of economic development and environmental regulation in the Yangtze River Economic Belt are polarized, and the degree of spatial agglomeration of scientific and technological innovation is steadily increasing, during 2012-2017. The spatial spillover effect of scientific and technological innovation is significant. The intensity of environmental regulation is conducive to the improvement of the quality of economic development in the region, but it brings negative effects to the adjacent provinces of economic geography. The synergistic effect has a negative impact on the quality of economic development in the province, and has a positive impact on neighboring provinces. Moreover, the human capital of control variable has no significant spatial effect on the quality of economic development in a short period of time, but the economic opening has a significant spatial spillover effect.Social investment also has a significant spatial spillover effect on the quality of economic development in the province, while it has a positive effect for this region and negative effect on neighboring provinces.
