Research progress on the function and molecular regulation of Bcl-6 in follicular helper T cells

Abstract:Bcl-6 is the master regulator of follicular helper T cells (Tfh), which plays a key role in the differentiation and functional regulation of Tfh cells. The specific mechanisms of Bcl-6 regulation of Tfh cells and its precise molecular regulation have been extensively studied. At present, considerable progress has been made. In this paper the research history of Bcl-6 being identified as the master regulator of Tfh is reviewed, and the functions of Bcl-6 in Tfh cells and the research progress of mechanisms of Bcl-6 regulation in Tfh are summarized. The potential problems and future research directions of Bcl-6 are prospected.
