Abstract:Micropsalliota lateritia Heinem., a member of Micropsalliota was discovered from Longquan temple tourist area of Shiyan City in Hubei Province, and was a newly recorded in China. This species is characterized by small, violet brown, floccose-squamulose; lamellae free with two series of lamellulae; stipe cylindrical, violet red, usually curving; presence of pendent fugacious annulus; spores 5.2~5.8×3.5~3.8 μm, on average 5.5×3.6 μm, ellipsoid, without germ pore; Cheilocystidia broadly clavate or seldom subcapitate, absence of pleurocystidia and pileipellis hyphae incrusted with pigments. The genus has its greatest diversity in tropical habitats, the discovery of the distribution point have great significance for the further research of the system classification and evolution of Micropsalliota. The specimens examined were deposited in the Herbarium of Mycology of Hanjiang Normal University (HMHNU).
