Abstract:The secondary metabolites of the endophytic fungus Nigrospora sphaerica from mangrove plants Xylocapus granatum were studied. The metabolites of rice fermented by Nigrospora sphaerica were purified by modern chromatography and chemical methods, including silica gel column, analytical and semi-preparative HPLC. Then their structures were elucidated by means of physical and chemical properties, spectroscopic analysis, together with comparison with the reported literatures. Ten compounds were isolated and identified as bis-(2-ethylhexyl)-phthalate (1),dibutyl phthalate (2),1-phenyl-1,2-ethanediol (3),tyrosol (4),gylcerol monoacetate (5),R-mevalonolactone (6),D-mannitol (7),D-glucose (8),linoleic acid (9),3-methylbut-2-enyl-4-hydroxybenzoate (10). Except for compound 4, all the rest compounds were obtained from Nigrospora sphaerica for the first time.
