Research on technological innovation supporting the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle

Abstract:In this article the key requirements for technological innovation supporting the strategic positioning of Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle are explored, and the shortcomings of current technological innovation are analyzed, such as the relative lack of high-end technological innovation elements, insufficient innovation capabilities to support industrial development, homogeneous competition, and low degree of openness and sharing of innovation and development. Proposals and policy recommendations are put forward including constructing an open experimental innovation zone, a comprehensive science center, an industrial innovation community and a science and technology innovation corridor as well as other measures to promote the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.
