Analysis of the Phenomenon of Teacher Mobility in Public and Private Schools

Abstract:This study analyzes the frequency, direction and possible causes of the teacher mobility in public and private schools. It finds that more than half of the sample teachers had inter-school mobility, and the turnover rate of private school teachers is significantly higher than that of public school teachers. There is mutual flow between public and private schools among teachers, but the teacher flow among the same type of schools is still the mainstream.It is necessary to establish and improve the policy guidance mechanism for the benign flow of teachers, and encourage public and private schools to learn from each others' experience and take measures to build a stable and high-quality teacher team.
