Research on landscape pattern hanges of Qingshan Lake National City Wetland Park in West Dongting Lake

Abstract:Using RS and GIS technology and combining the landscape structure analysis software Fragstats4.2, landscape pattern changes 20 years before and after the construction of Qingshan Lake Nationa City Wetland Park in West Dongting Lake are studied with six years' Remote Sensing data, including 1993, 1998, 2002, 2005, 2009 and 2013, from the aspects of the patches, landscape arrangements and landscape spatial patterns. The results showed that: 1) after construction of the Wetland Park, the area of wetlands decrease rapidly, while that of non-wetland increased rapidly. 2) The landscape fragmentation of water increased and the water Shape becomes complicated after the construction of the Wetland Park, while the mudflat is opposite with water, and the non-wetland landscape changed little. 3) The entire wetland landscape fragmentation increases, with landscape shape becoming complicated and the landscape heterogeneity increasing. 4) The status of landscape matrix of water bodies and marsh land has not changed. The whole wetland landscape showing a decreasing trend and the non-wetland especially the cultivated landscape has a significant increase in the dominance.
