Abstract：Many studies have shown that the frequency selectivity is enhanced along periphery to primary auditory cortex. However, the neural mechanism responsive for this processing has long been a disputed subject under discussion. An attempt to elucidate the mechanism, one of the key issues in auditory physiology, has been made in this paper.
