Abstract： This paper introduces the model of Revised Universal Soil Loss equation (RUSLE) and the algorithm of its each factor. And it builds the environmental database through a lot of data obtained from Remote Sensing(RS) and field surveys in the Taipingxi small watershed of the Three-Gorge area. Finally, the amount of soil erosion of the small watershed is estimated running the model of RUSLE by the support of Geographical Information System(GIS).
