Abstract：Based on more than 1 200 specimens of Mniaceae from Xinjiang in the past 30 years and extensive literature review， it is determined that there are currently 4 species of Rhizomnium in Xinjiang， accounting for 40% of the total species of Rhizomnium in China， three of which are the first records in Xinjiang， namely： R. gracile， R. nudum and R. punctatum. This paper describes the morphological characteristics of four species of Rhizomnium in Xinjiang， providing various information such as microstructure map， origin， distribution and habitat， and compiling a key to the taxonomy of Rhizomnium in Xinjiang.
