Abstract:On account of the fact that OC-CCI and GlobColour chlorophyll datasets published by the European Space Agency (ESA) have not been validated in offshore China, in-situ observations from six cruises were used to conduct accuracy tests and long-term consistency analysis. The results showed that the correlation coefficient between the chlorophyll concentration in OC-CCI dataset and the measured values was the highest and the error was the lowest, with r of 0.918 and RMSE of 0.497 μg·L-1. In terms of long-term consistency, the consistency between OC-CCI and GlobColour AVW chlorophyll products was higher than that between OC-CCI and GSM chlorophyll products. And the consistency was higher in the South China Sea where the chlorophyll concentration is relatively lower. In Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea and East China Sea, the interannual variations of consistency between OC-CCI and GC AVW / GC GSM chlorophyll products were similar, but the monthly variations were significantly different.
