Abstract:Based on the transmission mechanism of Ebola, an SIRDM infectious disease model is constructed incorporating media coverage and limited medical resources. The control reproduction number of the model is calculated, then both the existence and the stability of the disease-free equilibrium are proved. Furthermore, the existence and uniqueness of the endemic equilibrium are given, and the sensitivity analysis of the control reproduction number is conducted. Finally, the numerical simulations are carried out to explore the influence of medical resources and media coverage on the spread of the disease. The results show that increasing the amount of medical resources and media coverage can reduce the outbreak scale of the disease and play an important role in disease control and prevention.
