Abstract：This paper is first to expound the chief characteristic of physical geography of mountainous plateau in Southwestern Hubei, and then to analyse the main aspect of the problens in process of utilization and exploitation in this area. Finally, in this paper, the author proposes the methods of reasonably utilizating and etfectively regulating the geographical environment of the area, in the future.
