Abstract：Scientific historical geography developed in the period of modern geography. The article entirely discusses the processes of generation, formation and development of scientific historical geography and evolution history of its basic theory in terms of the introdution, the tradition of historical geography, the dynamic process, the understanding of time, historical geography and the conclusion, etc.
