Abstract:Plantation succession in the reach of Changjiang River can be divided into twelve stages since Gunz glacial period in the light of a great deal of palynologieal information. Spore-pollen communities reflect the paleoelimate and paleoenvironment of four glacial, three interglacial and a postglacial periods (the last period including five climate stages). The regional difference of plantation revealed by spore-pollen assemblages arises at the beginning of middle Pleistocene because of Tibet-Qinghai plateau rising and monsoon extent changing. This paper still discusses the relations between plantation, climate and the crust movement and some other paleo environmental problems in the reach of Changjiang River besides above mentioned.
