Abstract：This paper reports the effect of light quality on induction and reproduction of callus in thin cell layers cultures of Brassica napus L.. Explants were obtained by excised thin cell layers(four to nine layers of epidermal and subepidermal)from raches of Brassica napus L.. The explants cultured on MS' mediums with addition of NAA and 6-BA and irradiated under lights with different wavebands. The effect of light quality on induction and reproduction of callus in thin cell layers culture were observed. Blue and red light has a considerable effct on induction and reproduction of calli, while those of light in other wavebands are not apparent.
