Abstract:Pieris rapae granulosis virus in the blood-lymph of Pieris rapae larva can be detected by ELISA after the insect being infected for 16 hours. Detection rate is 48% and it can be reached 80% after 24 hours. Time of detection is much earlier than that of appearance of symptoms. Detecting the blood-lymph is better than doing the liquid drawed from tissue homogenate and detection with a single insect is better than mixture of many insects. The test also proved that ELISA is a lot more sensitive than CIE.
