Abstract：The suspesion culture of 5BI cell line from Thichoplusia ni and culture conditions effcted on cell growth including serum concentration, seeding density and nonionic surfactant pluronic F 68 were studied in this paper. It was demonstrated that 5BI cell could normally grow and propagate under agitating condifion. Cell growth rate decreased as serum concentration was reduced to 2%. pluronic F 68 was responsible for protection of 5BI insect cells from advers effects of agitating.
