Abstract：Free proline accumulation and protein decomposition were regarded as sensitive sign of senescence. The preservative treatment(50 mg/L 6 BA+ 200 mg/L 8 HQ + 100 mg/L citric acid +2%sucrose) not only reduced the increment of free proline content obviously ,retarding water stress ,but also slowed the rate of soluble protein decomposition ,delaying senescence process of cut flower (Calendula officinalis.L)
