Abstract：The study on the effects of plant growth regulators on callus formation and organogenesis of Astragalus chinensis L revealed that: In the course of callus formation, the MS media with 5 0 mg/L NAA,0 5 mg/L 2,4 D,1 0 mg/L 6 BA,2 0 mg/L KT were better,all the induction frequencies of callus got to 100%,and the calli were growing well From the calli,the MS medium added 2 0 mg/L NAA was optimal for induction of adventitious roots,its induction frequencies were 46 7%,53 7%,33 3%,respectively.
