Abstract：This paper takes city as a complex ecosystem of economy, society and nature. By using the method of city development synthetical index, the marks of the comprehensive development level of some cities are worked out.Through comparing with the other cities and analysing the comparatively better and worse development situation and their causes within Wuhan city, the author gives a quantitative and overall evaluation to the comprehensive development situation of Wuhan.In addition, the tactics is presented.
