Abstract：This paper mainly discusses the crisis and prospect of geography in three aspects. First of all, geography has its peculiar study object:the spatial ralationship and process of the things on the earth surface. Secondly,geography is a large subject family, the Geography Science College should be set up in our universities .The third, geography has the strong praticality ,both geography education and theory building should be closely related with the pratice. The key purpose of the paper is to explain: geography is a subject which has a great prospective future.
