Abstract:Historical geography is the science that deals with cultural landscape. The cultural landscape, also called historical landscape or human landscape, includes: natural landscape ,unchanged and influenced or exerted influence on by human's activity, artificial landscape made by human. In its narrow sense, cultural landscape, a definite of shape type, refers to the two latters. It is a whole process making human's activity into landscape agency and a single science combining time and space with human's activity. So it's different from paleogeography without combination with human's activity, modern geography exising for only a short period of time, and future geography which is difficult to be inspected without substantial proof. This is a definition from character.
