Abstract：Historical method and geographical method are traditional research ones of historical geography. But nowadays dialectical materialism and historical materialism method should be still symphasized and some new ones like trend process method and comprehensive integrated method of combining quantitation and qualititation should be adopted. These above mentioned methods should be used flexibly and integrated comprehensively,which may ensure that the research may be completed smoothly.
