Abstract：The development of geography is closely related to the technological advancement in human production activity. In contemporary Information Age, geography, today as a discipline, has come to a dead end due to some traditional methods and technology. However, the paper, in this thesis, explores the development, characteristics and wide application and concludes that RS and GIS can help the take off of geography.
