Abstract：There are 121 species of mammals in Hubei, belonging to 9 orders, 27 families and 75 genera. Among them,7 species are categorized as first priority, and 16 species as second priority, and 15 species are characteristic ones in China, and 18 species are endangered or threatened. By the method of comprehensive judgement of the fuzzy mathematics, comparing Hubei with several provinces in the Yangtze River, one can discover that the species of mammals in Hubei is poorer than that in Sichuan, but richer than that in the others.
