Abstract：This paper reports the result of inverstigation on the terrestrial wild animals in the reservoir region of the three gorges(only in Hubei province). There are 384 species of terrestrial wild animals in the region, including 81 species mammmals belonging to 7 orders 24 families, 247 species birds belonging to 15 orders 42 families, 39 species reptilita belonging to 2 orders 10 families, 30 species amphibia belonging to 2 orders 8 families. 9 species birds are newly recorded in Hubei.
