Abstract:In cultivating Penaeus chinensis, regular process includes three steps:feeding with fresh meat of clam, clearing remains at the bottom and changing the original water with sand filtered sea water, the process makes concentration of nitrite and ammonia increase to the level several times higher than that in the normal sea water and this leads to poison shrimps. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out research histopathologically on poisoned shrimps. The results of the study show that high concentration of nitrite and ammonia causes abnormal histologicall changes in tissues of shrimps' hepatopancreas, stomach, midgut and branchia, etc. the histopathological process involve the series of changes from cellular swelling to vacuolation and at last to necrosis.
