Abstract：The paper analyzes the characteristics of water resources of middle reaches of the Changjiang River. It is considered that its abundant water resources have great potentialities of exploltation, but it may give rise to a big flood because the seasonal distribution of floods is too centralized. And it puts forward a idea of comprehensive exploitation of water resources in the region.
