Abstract：This essay briefly evaluates several prevalent measuring methods of tourism environmental capacity for present tourism planning;it also provides four suggestions on perfecting those methods: (1) Setting up four systems of measuring index which can reflect tourism environmental capacity; (2) Meanwhile measuring the limit value and the best value of tourism environmental capacity; (3) Attaching great importance to the measuring index,which is uneasy to be changed by manpower and places greatest restrictions on tourism environmental capacity; (4) Organizing specialists to compile a manual for measuring per capital scale index of tourism environmental capacity.
