Abstract：China is one of the countries with an old civilization in the world. Many fine traditions have become precious wealth of the country. One of them is the thought of sustainable development. Its goal is to create fundamental and great cause eternally. To realize thls objective, the first measure, is to establish the Great Harmony in which both the old and the young could be supported and the adult could be in full play. The second one is, based on knowledge, to establish harmonious man-made relationship between economic and social development and natural environment, to combine economy development and social improvement with ecological protection, environment management and cherishing resources, and to make them the codes of ethies and standards of conduct for all the people. The 3rd one is to start from oneself, using one's own exemplary behaviour to influence others and construct a good clrcumstance inside and outside to reach the commonly sustainable development and found a common beautiful future for the world and the whole mankind.
