Abstract：On the research of the size class and height class of Sycopsis sinensis population in Hoube National Nature Reserve, the largest Sycopsis sinensis population in China this paper points out that the seedlings and saplings are scarce in amount; adults are distributed with high frequency; competition among individuals is intense; and the population is in an unstable situation. It also expounds that the scarcity of the seedlings and saplings would become a restrictive factor affecting the stability of Sycopsis sinensis population. And it makes constructive suggestions about protection and regeneration of Sycopsis sinensis population.
