Abstract：This paper analyses the historical process and reasons of the rising island tourism at home and abroad, and discusses the resource characteristics of island tourism. Based on the above studies, this paper designs the model of recreation activities and related service facilities of island tourism, deals with the spatial construction laws of island tourism facilities, and analyses the reasons of the kind of spatial location model for island tourism facilities. At last, this paper simply discusses the island tourism development organizations, the financing of island tourism development, the island tourism impacts on the social, economic, and ecological environment of the local community.
