Abstract：Formulation and synthetic technology of the low viscosity and hydroxyl terminated unsaturated polyester resins are studied in this paper. Controlling the excessive ratio of dibasic alcohol and choosing the suitable dibasic alcohol used in terminating, a series of novel low viscosity unsaturated polyester resins are synthesized. When the resin mixed with toluene 2,4 di iso cyanate (TDI),a polyester resin which possessed high activity and excellent mechanical properties are obtained.
