Abstract:Electrorheological fluid is a kind of special fluid which rheological properties are changed dramatically under an applied electric field. A new ERF shock absorber is designed based on electrorheological technology. The designed structurs of the shock absorber plays an important role in fully utlizing the ER fluid's character to increase the efficiency of vibration control. This paper emphases on analyzing the structure and the mechanical behavior of the new ERF shock absorber. It is meaningful for practical application.
