Abstract：Nine novel 5 (4' sulphamidylbenzylazo)salicylaldehyde Schiff bases are prepared by using sulfanilamide,salicylaldehyde and aromatic amine as initial materials.The structures of these compounds are characterized by IR, 1H NMR,MS and element analysis.The studies on thermochromic properties of these compounds are also performed.
