Abstract：At first, this paper analyzes the weaknesses of firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Then it designs a model which integration firewall and intrusion detection system on the basis of frame of CIDF, also it thoroughly describes the implementation of the model system components, the model system has reached the aim partially that manifest both advantages and overcome some of the shortcomings.
