Abstract：By analyzing the data such as high temperature, microtherm, daily mean temperature in the period from 1951 to 2003 in Wuhan city and comparing the 2003's midsummer air temperature in the cities of Yangtze Basin and Jiangnan,we find that the high temperature in 2003's midsummer in Wuhan city breaks many records and the main reasons of abnormal high temperature are the synoptic system, underlying earth's surface factor and the city heat island effect.
