Abstract：Constructing Wuhan metropolis is an innovative measure of realizing the well-off society generally implemented by the committee and government of Hubei Province, which tries to make use of some basic theories on urban economics and other related subjects to attain multipled multiplier-effects and win-win goal by agglomeration and diffusion effect. It can not only realize the over-conventional development of the nine cites in the metropolis but bring into the development of other areas in the province to build the well-off society all together. This paper consists of four parts--theory selecting, status in China, cognitions of Wuhan and constructing tactics. It also advances a one-center-two-wing middle-axis spatial model to promote the construction of Wuhan metropolis successfully.
