Abstract:A newly synthesized reagent 2-amino-5-mercapto-triazole was used to fabricate self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on gold for the first time. The SAMs modified electrode was characterized by electrochemical methods and scanning electronic microscopy (SEM). The electrochemical behaviors of dopamine were investigated at the SAMs electrode, the experimental results showed that the electrochemical oxidation of dopamine was a quasi-reversible and a two-electron transfer process, the constant of electrode reaction was 0.104 9 cm/s. The SAMs electrode has been used to determine the content of dopamine in drug injections with satisfactory results.
