Abstract： With the data of ozone concentration near the ground and general meteorological factors observed in recent years from Jianghan Plain, Centre China, the effects of some meteorological factors, such as temperature, rainfall, wind and fog, etc., on the change of ozone concentration are analyzed in the paper. From the results, there are significant positive relationship between ozone concentration and air temperature, but the effects of rainfall and moisture are different. On the other hand, gale or fog is also the factor to increase the ozone concentration near the ground mainly because the gale can transit the contamination which may give birth to the ozone near the ground or the evolution of turbulence in the fog may transfer the ozone of a higher layer towards the ground.
